Hello
Im looking to build a system with the Asus P4T533-C. I know the board had some issues when using Kingston RDR. Is there anyone who has built a system with this board, and if so what problems if any did you encounter? I was thinking about using the P4T533 with 4200 ram but I heard it was unstable. Here are my specs for the new machine, if you see any problems please let me know.
Antec 1080 case 430 power
Asus P4T533-c
Kingston (2x256 mb)1066
Intel pentium 2.26 gig 533 fsb
Western digital 120 gig HD 8 mb
radeon 9700 (If I can get one)
Pioneer 16x DVD
THANKS for any info.

All you have to do to make it run right is go into bios and change the memory ratio from auto to 4x, and the problem is solved. It's a BIOS issue where the BIOS does not properly recognize the SPD info on the memory.

You're posting in a forum with class. It may be third class, but it's still class!

I have the P4T533. What is the problem with using the tested RDR from Samsung? It is available for the same price as Kingston at Googlegear. Just wondering if there is a problem with the tested ram.

Well I think the original question was if you like it and if you had any problems. I am also thinking of getting this MB.

I guess the lack of responce to my post is a good thing, because maybe there isn't anyone having a problem with the board. OR It's a bad thing because no one is buying the board. OR maybe there's no one reading my post at all. Or maybe....................The people who built a system with the Asus P4T533-C board can't get it to work, so they can't respond to my post. Or maybe......

I also have the Asus p4t533-c running with a 1.6 ghz 400fsb. My setup runs fine w/ 2x cheapo (doesn't have a name on it) $40 each 128mb rdram. Running flawlessly for 2 months now. Also has gf4 4200, IBM 80 gig.

Thanks for info mark. i know the ram has to be installed in pairs, but does it have to be the same megabit ? can I have a 256 mb with a 512 mb. If not have you heard any good or bad info about the ASUS P4T533 with RDR 4200, I heard you can mix them .
