I have read many forum articles stateing that this board has heat issues. Apparently the BIOS is unable to accurately display the CPU temp. Does any one here have this board and what are your suggestions. I currently have a P5B vanilla and am going to change it tomorrow. I was suggested to go for the delux but want to be sure that this is the last time that i change my board in the RIG.

CURRENT RIG:
C2D 6400 Stock speed for now
2G Kingston Hyper X PC6400
4 Seagate 320G SataII HDD
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum
ATI X1900XTX 512Megs
DVD 16X burner with light scribe

I had the same board and never had heat issues. There are couple of different spots where cpu temp is taken. I would use Coretemp or Everest to monitor the temps and not bios temps. You can always buy gigabyte ds3 rev 3.3 and save some cash and use that cash for other parts like ram, hd etc.

Thanks for the response guys. I had read that the bios not reading the temp correctly was affecting the Qfan and not allowing full OC capabilities. I appreciate your time and answers
