I dug out an old PC and have been working to get it setup for a friend who needs a computer.
This system has a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 and 8g memory (KHX6400D2LLK4/8G) 8GB = (2GB 256M x 64-Bit x 4 pcs.) PC2-6400 CL4 240-Pin DIMM).
The AMI Bios is ACPI Bios Rev 3002. I was not able to find any updated bios beyond this one.
When this computer boots up, it POSTS the following information:
System Memory:
Total 8192mb
Appropriated 896mb
Available 3200mb
Why does this only say I have 3.2g of the total 8g available?
Is this a problem or a non-issue?
Thanks!
