Hi,
I bought new PC parts a couple days ago and get the same problem as said above. No POST, no display, no beep and no optical mouse/keyboard lights. The power button on the motherboard stays red when it's on or off. No lights by the RAM if that is meant to happen?
Specs:
ASUS P6T SE
ATI Radeon HD 5770 VTX 1gb
Intel i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz
3x2gb Corsair TR3X6G1600C9
600W ModXstream-Pro OCZ600MXSP
The old compoenents are Seagate 400gb SATA HD and Lightscribe DVD-RW both which I know are working as I just took them out the old machine. I wish to fomat the HDD but as said, haven't even reached the BIOS or seen anything on screen!
Attempted:
Switching CMOS batteries (unless it has to be a specific type? I took it out my old HP)
Motherboard CMOS jumper reset (I don't find this clear enough but I have attempted, maybe I did it wrong?)
Putting in my old ATI Radeon x1300/x1600 series 512mb graphics card
Removing all RAM, leaving only 1 in red slot A1, putting in B2, replacing that stick with one of the others
A friend of mine said to get the latest BIOS and use a USB key to update.. but firstly theres no display to even do that unless it's automatic when I put the key in (please let me know), and secondly the light on the USB key, like the mouse, does not light up.
I have yet to remove everything from the case and run it as such... just going to do that now.
