Asus P7P55D-E Win10 - Marvell Marvell® SATA 6G driver

Hello lil help appreciated.

I took my old Windows 7 machine with Asus P7P55D-E and put a Crucial MX500 500GB SSD and installed Windows 10. (also added GEforce 1050ti)

Asus does not have Windows 10 drivers for this older motherboard. I tried a WHQL drive but no dice.

Is my only option to get full speed/performance form this drive to add a Sata 6g card to the other PCI Express slot?

or other options ideas?

Are you using the grey SATA ports?
Is the Marvel controller enabled in BIOS?
I would suspect that any Win7 SATA drivers for the Marvel chipset would work with Win 10 as well.

Yep using the two grayish white ones. it is enabled and working but with a windows driver.. Tried the windows 7 and 8.1 driver but no go.

I am seeing 170 write and 320 read speeds so not terribel

I'm surprised that Win 10 update hasn't found drivers for the Marvel controller. Have you forced it to check for updates while the Marvel controller is enabled?
It might just be that Marvel never produced any W10 drivers for that chip. But I'm still surprised Win7/8.1 drivers didn't work. Which Marvel controller is it?

Might have to go the add-on card route after all. The SATA II read speed isn't too bad, but the write is low.
