Hello folks, I bought a second hand desktop gaming PC which works fine and does what it says on the tin, my only problem is that the USB 3.0 ports are not working at all.
My motherboard is Asus P8P67Pro.
all other ports including USB 2.0 are working also the USB 3.0 ports are charging any device they just don't recognize anything.
-This is the error message in device manager.
-This the message if i want to update the driver via windows.
I got the latest Chip set and USB3.0 driver form the Asus support website downloaded and installed.
Also the USB ports are enabled in the BIOS set up.
I did bought a new USB3.0 frontpanel device to try and see if the spare port on the motherboard works but also this does not work.
I don't know if i missed anything but really cant think of anything else.
Another question I have is when I fresh start the PC (power up) it starts, turns off, starts turns off then starts on the 3rd attempt without issues. If i just restart from windows it powers down and boots up with no issues. any ideas?
