Hi all, I'm having some issues on a new build which is driving me crazy!
So basically I have a Asus P9X79 PRO mobo, an intel 4820K cpu, GTX 780, 4x4GB Gskill ripjaw DDR3 RAM. When I attempt to boot the pc all I get is a red CPU LED nd nothing else happens (fans etc which are plugged in spin up and run fine, no led for RAM or GPU).
I have tried to flash to the latest BIOS as I have a feeling this is why the CPU has issues... When I try this with a .cab file the USB flash light blinks briefly but then stays solid. I then tried the .rom to .cab converter which seemed to work (blinked etc for a few mins) however I can still not post. I then tried to flash the latest BIOS again (.cab) but i just get the short flash and then solid light. I have read that when you turn on the PC it should install the BIOS however, since I cant post this obviously doesn't happen...any ideas anyone?
BTW I have checked wiring, run it outside on cardboard with minimum components (incl just one ram stick) and nothing seems to work....
Help would be greatly appreciated!!
ATM im half tempted to just get a diff mobo but if i need to flash them all to get them to work I dont like the sound of that unless there are some mobos which will work straight out the box with the newer 4820k??!!
Thanks!!!!
