Question ASUS P9X79_PRO motherboard memory problem.

Hello.

I have a problem with my ASUS P9X79_PRO motherboard.

I had 4 stick of 4GB ram.
I replaced my CPU cooler.
since then it only recognize one stick of 4GB.
I tried to set them up like in the motherboard manuel. still no good.
Ive bought another stick of 8GB and and for some reason it wont recognize it when I place it alone.
so not I have 5 stick installed. 4X4GB and 1 OF 8GB.
but in windows it only show me 4GB.
In the motherboard bios setting it show all the sticks so no problem with the sticks or slots....

any idieas?

Hey.
I did not replaced the CPU. only the CPU cooler.
Ram model is DDR3.
Now I see that on CPU-Z it show 24GB. but on windows only 4GB.

could be the cooler in on too tight.
is the bios seeing the memory profile ?

I dont think that the cooler its too tight cause of the CPU temp.
it work great.

I checked on bios. its on profile XDF2.
it show 4GB but it also show all the memory on they slots.

and now, Im not sure what I did but it show me 12GB RAM.
still not 24GB but better then 4GB.
