I just can't seem to pick which monitor would be best for my situation. I game League of Legends, ESO, SC2, BF4 and more. Having a tough time choosing between the two. Can anybody help shed some light on which has better performance over the other in all areas. I really want to stick with the 1440p and i'm assuming the new g-sync from asus will be around $1000 which is a little out of my price range. keep it around $500-$700. Thanks!!

Solution

I've read one review about BenQ and they said that it's an older model than Asus.
And it's not so good compared to Asus.

Ok, thanks!
I ended up finding a good deal on a used asus pb278q on eBay for 485 tax and shipping included. It was shipped this morning. Now since I only have a gtx 650 ti, I'm going to need an upgrade. Thinking about either the gtx 780 or gtx 780 ti. Do u think the ti is worth the extra 40% cost or would the 780 suffice?

You can get a 24" ASUS monitor with G-sync installed for $450 right now, I will double check that price. Or you can get an ASUS VG248QE for $270 and pick up a DIY G-sync kit for $200 (I am sure the prices will start to go down soon). I don’t know if the VG278Q is/will compatible with G-sync right now, if you want a 27" monitor.

What monitor will you be gaming on? Most monitors are 60hz which means you can only see 60fps. If you get a GTX 780 Ti, most of your frames won't even be visible. If you are going to be using a 60hz monitor the regular GTX 780 would probably be mroe than enough. If you have a 120+hz monitor for gaming, then a 780 Ti would be the best choice.

Thanks!
I do want to stick with a 27" 1440p monitor and I'm too impatient to wait for the asus swift. Just gotta figure out which gpu to get for my pb278q now.
I have:

I5 4670k
Asus Maximus vi hero
750 xfx pro
16gb 2133 corsair vengeance
240 gb seagate 600 ssd
3 tb seagate barracuda
Cooler master storm Stryker case
And my zotac gtx 650 ti which I'll be putting in my gf computer

Just wondering if the extra 300 for the gtx 780 ti is worth it over the gtx 780

Like I said, it depends if you have a 120hz+ monitor, or plan to get one. If you buy a 780 Ti with a 60hz monitor, your performance will be wasted.

What he said...

The pb278q is a 60 hz so it looks like i'll be getting the GTX 780 OC Asus. Thank you for all your help!!!
