Question Asus PG278Q started flickering

Hi people,
I'm looking for some help troubleshooting this.

So 2 days ago whilst gaming my monitor all of a sudden started having this minor flicker.

It isnt very noticable so that makes it hard to capture on camera. But still super anoying.

Things I already tried without result:

• Re-seated my gpu and made it dust-free.
• Ordered a new dp cable. Tested it and resulted in the same problem.
• Changed the Hz to 100Hz, 60Hz. The flickering was still there. Although a bit calmer then on 144Hz.
• Reverted to an older driver using DDU. without success.

My 2nd monitor who is also connected to my GPU but trough HDMI shows no flicker.

I will now try to reinstall windows.

But I'm looking for some other stuff I could try to fix this. So any help is more then welcome.

*reinstalling windows didnt help
*plugged my old gtx 780 in. Flickering persisted

Will now try the monitor on a friends setup.

All things point to a defective panel. Is there any chance this is repairable by asus? The warranty ran out six months ago. 🥺

I'd be so bummed if I have to buy a new one.
