I left my PC running during the week while I was at college while I was at my AFK farm in my Minecraft world. I came back and the monitor wasn't working, so I restarted several times. Eventually I plugged in the DVI for my old 1080p monitor and plugged the HDMI cable into my PG279, and both worked. I tried swapping which DisplayPort my cable was plugged into on the graphics card and neither work, even when restarting.
This wouldn't be too big of an issue, but the HDMI port on this monitor only supports up to 60Hz, while the DP can get up to 165.
Specs:
GPU: MSI Nvidia 1080
CPU: Intel i7-4770k
Monitor: Asus ROG PG279
Lemme know if there's anything else you need to know
