I am planning to purchase Ryzen 7 2700x or Ryzen 5 3600x Asus Prime x570- P or Asus tuf gaming plus x570 with Asus hyper m.2 card

Build

Ryzen 7 2700x or Ryzen 5 3600
Asus prime x570-p
Asus hyper m.2 pcie4x16 m.2 adapter
4 Samsung 970 evo 1tb Nvme gen3 drive
1 Samsung 970 evo 500gb Nvme gen 4
GPU gtx 1650 super ddr6 6gb

Manual download

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/PRIME_X570-P/E17441_PRIME_X570-P_UM_v3_WEB.pdf

What I want to do is

1. Put the graphic card gtx1650 super in pcie_2 second slot which runs at pcie4x4 equivalent to pcie3x8 ie. 8000 mbps

2. Put the Asus hyper m.2 Nvme gen3 adapter card in pcie_1 slot which runs at pcie4x16 (with Ryzen 3600)or pcie3x16 (Ryzen 2700x). The main motive is that all 4 m.2 slots work with Samsung 970 evo gen 3 drives. And 1 Samsung 980 evo cdeive in motherboard slot.

I'm confused that should I go for Ryzen 2700x and hyper 3rd gen adpater card or Ryzen 3600 hyper 4th gen cards. To fulfill my task. To get pcie 3x16 or pcie4x16 lanes work.

I am confused to decide my final combination to decide the final build.

There are following doubts and need clarifications opinions and advice to clarify my doubts

Q1 does Asus prime x570-p or Asus tuf gaming plus x570 supports Ryzen 7 2700x or not.

Q2A. In Asus prime x570-p or Asus tuf gaming plus x570 the pcie_2x16 slot works in pcie 4.0x4 lanes mode as it's integrated through amd 570 chipset. Then if 2nd gen processor Ryzen 7 2700x is used then as it's from chipset then pcie_2 slot will still work in pcie 4.0x4 mode or it will change to pcie3.0x4 mode. As in specification it says it will work in pcie 4x4.

As specification says

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/PRIME-X570-P-CSM/techspec

3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
- 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
- 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
2nd and 1st Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics
Processors
- 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (at x8 mode)
AMD X570 chipset
- 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (max. at x4 mode)
- 3 x PCIe 4.0 x1 slots

Q2B Means Does the slots integrated through chipset will work in pcie4x4 mode as it's not dependent on cpu will it change if 2nd gen 2700x cpu used.

Q3. In Asus prime x570-p does m.2 or pcie_2 share bandwidth with any any pcie slot lanes . Will pcie_1 first slot pcie 4.0x16 or 3.0x16 will downgrade if a graphic card is inserted in pcie_2 slot of pcie4x4.

Q4. Does m.2_2 second slot if any m.2 drive is used can downgrade or disable any pcie slots or SATA slots or not.

Q5. Will Asus hyper m.2 v2 gen 3 card work in pcie_2 pcie 4x16 slot working in pcie 4.0x4 lanes ie. 8000mbps.....or we have to get Asus hyper m.2 v2 gen 4 card for x570 boards.

Q6. Can Asus hyper m.2 v2 gen4 card through bios or jumper settings can work in gen 3 mode. Can we use 2 or 3 or 4 gen 3 m.2 Nvme drives in adapter card or not? If yes then will gen 4 card if 4 slots used a with gen 3 drives will it work in pcie 4x8 16gbps or pcie 3x16 mode or it will work in pcie 4x16 32gbpbps mode.

Q1: it does : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/PRIME-X570-P-CSM/HelpDesk_CPU/
Q2: the m2_2 slot lanes come from the chipset. The only problem is that any transfers that go thru the CPU will be reduced to the "CPU to Chipset" bus speed which is pcie3x4 for the 2700x (and pcie4x4 for the 3600x)
Q3: it does not share
Q4: it does not disable. it can downgrade itself to pcie3 speeds to work with those drives.
Q5: backwards compatibility is built into pcie4. Inserting a pcie3 device will cause it to drop to pcie3 also.
Q6: putting gen3 M2 SSD's in would drop it to Gen3 speeds.

You seem to be confused. This is not combining 4 M2's into one drive; it's not a raid card. This card breaks up an x16 slot into four x4 M2 slots hence the need for the motherboard so have x4 bifurcation ability in the bios. If you put this card in an x1 or x4 slot only 1 m2 would work, in an x8 slot 2 m2's would work... Combining/raiding them is done via software or bios raid (which is also just software)
I didn't look up your motherbds specs but many x570 board do support x4 bifurcation. Please make sure yours does also.

@popatim again thanx a lot. Yes I was confused. as theoritically if I put 3600x cpu on x570 board then pcie_1 first slot it will give pcie4.0x16 (32gbps or 32000mbps) and I put the hyper m.2 v2 gen 4 or gen3 adapter card on pcie4x16 slot then theroritcally the hyper adapter card with 4 m.2 drives four p4x4 (8gbps x4) ie. 4x4=16 (8 gbpsx4=32gbps) should work with all m.2 drives. But practically as you say the motherboard burificarion in bios for pcie4.0x16 pcie slot for as the link below shows that it will give only 1 or 2 m.2 drive in card not only In Asus prime x570-p but all high end asus x570 MBs to. But Why theoritically as the card is made for x16 slot and if card is inserted in x16 card cant connect all four 4 m.2x4 drives.

Motherboard Compatibility of PCIE bifurcation between Hyper M.2 series Cards and Add-On Graphic card

Asus official link of birufication compatibility of motherboards kindly click to see the list

Q1. As in the above link list of pcie burificarion of Asus hyper m.2 v2 x16 adapter card there is no AMD am4 board which can use all 4 four m.2 slots of hyper m.2 adapter card In any pcie1 or pcie2 or pcie 3 slot. Even all b450 x470 or x570 can render only 1 or 2 drives in pcie4x16 slots or pciex4 slots even. Now for further understanding clarifying some more concepts of my queries for knowledge some more following queries. If u can clarify my doubts and knowledge. Q2. all brands companies x570 chipset motherboards that the first pcie_1x16 (running with 16 lanes ) and in some selected high end models second pcie_2x16x8 (running with 8 lanes ) and first m.2_1x4 (pcie4x4 or pcie3x4) slot on motherbord both slots are CPU dependent and both slots runs in pcie 4.0 mode on with Ryzen 3rd gen cpu and in pcie 3.0 mode with Ryzen 2nd gen cpu the reason is that both pcie slots lanes are architectured designed integrated or linkes from cpu. Isn't it m I right or wrong do correct me.

Q2. the m2_2 slot lanes come from the chipset. The only problem is that any transfers that go thru the CPU will be reduced to the "CPU to Chipset" bus speed which is pcie3x4 for the 2700x (and pcie4x4 for the 3600x)
Q3. One concept I can't understand I want to clear is that in all brands companies x570 chipset motherboards that the third pcie_3x16x4 slot (running with 4 lanes ) works in pcie4.0x4 mode and the second M.2_2 (pcie 4.0x4) as it's lanes are architectured designed integrated linked with AMD X570 chipset. So my question is that will this slot vary the speed (ie. pcie4.0 x4 to pcie 3.0x4) from the Ryzen 3rd gen CPU or ryzen 2nd gen CPU. I mean to say that will the third slot of pcie_3 or second slot of M.2_2 will work in pcie 4.0x4 (8000mbps)speed with Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and will CPU Ryzen 2700x or will pcie_3x4 or m.2_2x4 it change downgrade to pcie00mbps) in x570 boards. If yes to downgrade then why what's the technical reason as specification says these slots get links with that x570 chipset and x570 chipset is pcie4.0 chipset. Then what will benefit of expensive chipset if it's bus speed is as of x470 chipset or b450 chips

Asus prime x570-p screenshot of manual pg 1 -7 showing Pcie slot lanes and dual GPU speed burification as per processor cpu...kindly see the image which shows exact view of pcie slots

Above link is screenshot of image page 1-7 of manual of describing expansion slots burificarion of dual GPU cards Asus prime x570 -P shows that in Ryzen 2nd gen cpu ie. 2700x if used will gives x570 first slot pcie 3.0x4 and second slot will give pcie 4x4 speed is it typing mistake or right. Then will pcie_2x16 second slot will run in pcie 4x4 (8000mpbps) speed with Ryzen 2700x work same with Asus hyper m.2 v2 adapter card to or will work in pcie 3x4

As specification says

Asus prime x570-p specification page hyperlink

3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
- 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
- 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
2nd and 1st Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics
Processors
- 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (at x8 mode)
AMD X570 chipset
  • 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (max. at x4 mode)
  • 3 x PCIe 4.0 x1 slots

Q4. if I use Ryzen 3600x with Asus prime -P then will I can I purchase Asus hyper m.2 x16 v2 card gen3 as it if placed in pcie_2x4 (8000mbps) can give use two m.2 drives ...or can I put a GPU gtx1650 super on pcie_2 4x4 slots (8000mbps) equivalent to pciw3.0x8 will GPU wok in it. will m.2 card gen 3 work in gen 4 pcie. As if I get gen 4 m.2 card it on pcie4x4 it will give only 1 m.2 drive.

Q5. with Ryzen 3600x Asus x570-P can GPU GTX 1650 superG if inserted in pcie4x4 slot (8000MBps) is equivalent to pcie 3x8 mode (8000Mpbps) will GPU work find for video editimg will GPU work. Then will Asus hyper gen 4 m.2 card work with pcie1_16 slot running in pcie 4.0 x16(32000mbps)) will work all 4 slots with of m.2 adapter card will work with 4 m.2 nvme drives. can we use motherboard m.2 slots also with cars or it ge5abdiabled

Q6. RAID 0,1 also works in Asus hyper m.2 card v2 specification page specifies that it supports raid to but as benchmark raid 0 much benefit combining but it exist on cards. Buy specification specifies that it work on Intel boards only Don't know of it will work I. Ryzen board.Don't know raid 0 works in all 4 drives or single.drive.

This is not combining 4 M2's into one drive; it's not a raid card. 6 card breaks up an x16 slot into four x4 M2 slots hence the need for the motherboard so have x4 bifurcation ability in the bios.
