Astral sure seems to have a troublesome cooler, it does the job, but it's almost as loud as FE. That 4th fan was a big mistake, it seems.

I had to take 5090 Astral, because it was only real option available for order. I'd rather have had MSI Suprim which seems to be better for less money or Gigabyre Aorus Master which seemed to be highest clocked of the bunch and okay cooler.
How were you able to order the 5090 Astral?! It was sold out wherever I looked at 9AM. I saw two air-cooled Astrals and one LC version in stock at a Micro Center but could not order or reserve it. When I checked later in the day they were all three gone.

Ok. How do you like the Astral? Did you disable the 4th fan in the rear? The thing is massive. Are there any usable PCIE slots left at the end of the motherboard?
I don't because I don't have it yet, it will arrive in a few days per ASUS retailer here. /copium.

And I bet that fan is going to be dogsh... From all the reviews I have seen it's more trouble than it's worth it.

The same can be said about the vrm fan in the msi suprim lc and astral lc versions. Gigabyte copes well without it. I also had a vega 64lc (up to 400-450W) also without it, no problems with replacing a failed fan.

Is water even necessary? It seems the 5090 has a very good air solution as is.I may be wrong but don't most 5090 customers cut the voltage or clocks for better thermals or do they just let 'er blast with %75 fans going in gaming?
Or are cases still inadequate? It seems this card would need one of those big square humidifier size cases. And yes Asus are insanely greedy now.
EDIT: I fully understand the "lower end" nvidia cards have been much more energy efficient than AMD for many years now, sometimes remarkably so.
Their tech is simply incredible in many ways.Jensen is a mind blowing business man, engineer ,circuit designer, and more. And on a related note I've had at least 3 ASUS video cards from way back that were affordable and still work.No one wants them to barely make a profit.Any of them. It's just excessive greed .

There is no way in hell their AIO card is worth $500 more than the Gigabyte Waterforce ($2599) or $600 more than the MSI Suprim ($2499). Asus has lost their minds.

Now that Donny Dipshit has signed off on tariffs on China, those prices are going to go even higher.
Oh no! My precious PC components are going to increase in price all to help our country in the long run. Typical left, only caring about themselves and the right this very moment.
