asus r7 260x fan spinning, but no display

This is my set up:

Asus m5a97 LE r2.0, board
600w cougarSL 80+ psu
Asus radeon r7 260x gpu
Amd fx 6300
4gig ram

All of them are fresh from the box, and i think i assembled it properly. But when i plugged it to my monitor(semi- old), it has no display but my gpu fan is spinning.i also tried using vga and hdmi ports but still no good. Please i really need help im starting to think that something is broken.
