Hello
My asus r9 280x is kinda dying, and it had atikmpag.sys BSOD issue and somehow i survived it,
and then after testing my vga and stressing it it was fine, ( also tested it on overwatch ( epic settings) and it was fine stable 60+ fps
but whenever i start working with unreal engine 4 (sometimes it doesn't happen )the screen start flickering and sometimes freeze the whole pc ( iam using dual monitors)
so i thought down clocking might help with this, since the vga is factory OC and it is already unstable.
that's the stock values and I have no idea what to reduce and what not to .
I would require some assistance if u may,

Thanks <3

Thanks for replying
I would still want to know what to change and why only the unreal engine is causing such issue,
is there something the engine uses that isn't being used by video games? and how to down clock since it is making my vga unstable.
Also in msi afterburner can increase power input
or it is a bad idea? as i read somwhere that if u decrease power input it feels like u are asking ur vga to run a marathon with little energy. which is bad.

tried multiple settings, doesn't seem to have any effect :'(

what could be causing those flickers ?

yes HWinfo64 reading the values i inserted

so i think it means it is flashed correctly
and i will try the two monitor thing
Thanks for ur constant replies hopefully we will get somewhere <3

Hi again
I tried those settings
http://prntscr.com/bcvf9u
http://prntscr.com/bcvfe8
and they seem to be fine as long as iam not playing overwatch
sometimes the game works smoothly for hours
some other time the game crashes the vga
In battlefield hardline, flicker is much much less than it is in overwatch
gpu never crosses 52 c ( maybe because I reduced core clock from 1070 to 750 )
And disabling one of the monitors didn't have any impact,
shall i just keep squeezing whatever juice come out from it until it dies?
or is it fixable ? (hardware issue or software issue)?

thanks for replying
I was wondering is this flickering and grey screens is caused by the memory clock or it is more affected by core clock? or it may be caused by both ?

Decreasing memory clock by 200 and reinstalled amd drivers (the one i already had) but made a clean installation
much lower flickers since then <3
flickers happen more often while working with ue4.
