Using water cooling how far will i be able to push r9 290 core clock and memory clock, i have seen a few reviews and most of them stated that that 1400mhz is the limit for memory clock and about 1100mhz is the max for clock speed, any chance of going higher yet getting a stable configuration.

thanks

It will depend not only your chances of getting a core that can handle the increased voltage and heat but also the quality of the VRM. If you haven't purchased the card yet, I would highly suggest that you choose the Asus non-reference version. The components that they use to make the VRM is top of the line and designed for extreme OCs like you are planning. Also, their factory overclocked versions use cores that have been set aside by both AMD and Asus because of their ability to handle higher than stock clock speeds while still running at or close to the stock specs for temps and voltage. Your ability to achieve your OC goals will depend on whether or not you chose a high quality card with not only a top binned core but also a high...

In fact, since the R9 290 is basically a binned version of the R9 290x, I would suggest that you get the 290x instead since it is not a crippled binned core like the 290 and it would make your chances for an extreme OC much better. Plus you are starting out with more raw power stock to begin with.
