Asus R9 290X Crossfire

Hi, I need some help peeps. I currently have two XFX Radeon HD6970's in my machine (Asus P6TD Deluxe), with Crossfire ribbon cable between them and enabled. With a recent update to Adobe Lightroom I called my local IT crew, and asked about updating the GPU's. They recommended the Asus Radeon R9 290X 4GBDDR5. So I got two of those. Now I'm currently installing them and I can't see how I am meant to enable/link the two cards in Crossfire. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to install/enable it? Thanks in advance.

With R9 290s and R9 290Xs, you no longer need the crossfire bridge. It is done through the pcie lanes.
