Asus R9 380 4gb or Sapphire

Which ones better? i think the asus would match my build more. but any comment is welcome.

I'd take Asus as well. As noted build quality is better. I've bought many Sapphire cards but they've gone down hill lately. My 280x came with what look like corroded copper. They wanted to charge me $30 so they would honor their warranty and fix it.

ASUS is very good brand but Sapphire has much better cooling and an AMD card produces much more heat than Nvidia
My opinion:
ASUS
-Less sound
-Less power consumption (190W)
-Excellent quality
SAPPHIRE:
-Less Heat
-More power consumption (225W)
-Excellent quality

Personally I'd go with either. It comes down to personal preference or budget. I like ASUS more.

Heat and Power consumption have nothing to do with the OEM. These factors are predetermined by the GPU chip.

thanks guys. sapphire has good word of mouth but theyre packaging is crap. design is ok. offers back plate version for more $. gigabyte offers a design that will match most color build, nice bp design, nice packaging etc. i just hope it performs well.

I agree with you on sapphire. Backplates don't do anything anyways. They're just to look cool.

No, a 280x GPU produces the same amount of heat as every other stock 280x GPU (they are all the same). The only way to increase the heat is to overclock. Perhaps if you were referring to heat dissipation.

No, a 280x GPU produces the same amount of heat as every other stock 280x GPU (they are all the same). The only way to increase the heat is to overclock. Perhaps if you were referring to heat dissipation.
