Hello,
Currently my RAM run at 1333mhz, when I tried enabling the XMP profile from bios on my Asus Rampage IV, it made some other changes aswell such as turning the cpu (4930k) from auto to sync all cores and some DRAM specifications. After that when I ran the PC i made it into the OS and tried to open a program (HWMonitor specifically) and the computer crashed.
I rebooted the PC and American Megatrends page appeared with saying "Overclock failed, press F1 to enter setup" I did and got everything back to default. However I did not understand what went wrong and why, and what can I do to use the rams in their 1600 mhz profile rather than 1333mhz?
My specs are
Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
i7 4930k
2x 8gb Corsair Vengeance Pro Series
as seen here:

The RAM are set as shown in the Asus Mobo Booklet and the BIOS check thing in Asus shows OK for them.
