Hi guys, i have an Asus Rog G20 cb with i7 6700 and nvidia gtx 970

Will the Nvidia 1080 ti (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-founders-edition-11gb-high-end-grafikkarte-6170384?tagIds=76) fit in there? And can i upgrade to i7 7700k (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/intel-core-i7-7700k-box-lga-1151-420ghz-unlocked-prozessor-6031305?tagIds=76) without water cooling?

I have 180 W + 230 W Power adapters (2 different cables) and Intel® H170 Chipset (is it also replaceable?)

Ty for your answer in advance!

to upgrade with a gtx1080ti, do you already have two power supplies? Measure the length of the old card. The space you need is 26.67 cm, height is not a problem.

If the latest BIOS update of ASUS can run a 7th gen Intel, it will run, if not, there has to be made an update from ASUS first. It´s likely it will run because the latest update was made in february. But you should ask ASUS directly to be sure.

I meant the actual technical possibility. Im really bad at understanding those things, sadly. If i got it right, my Motherboard can handle the new 7700k, and the water cooling is not necessary?

There is nvidia 1080 on the list (https://www.asus.com/ch-de/Tower-PCs/ROG-G20CB/specifications/), and it is actually 3 cm longer than 1080 ti, so it should fit in? Also does is matter, if the card has 3 coolers or one? I mean for installation itself.

By two power supplies you mean two cables i mentioned? I have two adapters - one for motherboard and one for a videocard , i assume. 180 W and 230 W

if you wanna add and overclock the 7700k, the watercooling would be necessary, because I don´t think a good air cooler can be added to this case. The 7700K has a TDP of 91W, the 6700 just 65W. Wouldn´t upgrade the CPU, you won´t need it in games.

two or three fans shouldn´t be a problem, but I don´t know for sure

I meant two adapters, that´s fine then.

Hey, I was wondering if you were able to upgrade the components inside?

I'm looking to purchase the same machine and upgrade the GPU as well
