Asus Rog g551jw Gpu FanSpeed 0 RPM

Hello, I've purchased Asus Rog g551jw few days ago and for some reason my GPU Fanspeed is 0%.

i get average 72C gpu temperature when Gaming with Power plugged in and 61C with battery backup.
Can some one please provide me reasons why Gpu fanspeed is at 0% Rpm while gaming ? and how to fix it ?

Hi,

Can you look into your computer case and see if the fans are actually running on your graphics card?

This is most likely simply an error in the software, it doesn't exactly say '0%' but blank and the % sign which means it is obviously not detecting your RPM speeds, as long as your fans are actually running on the GPU you're fine, since most cards auto change their fan speeds when the temperatures hit specific levels.

Also, try and uninstall and reinstall the Precision software and see if it shows the 'actual' rpm speeds for your GPU thereafter.

Have you tried turning off Auto mode and turning it on again.

The fact it's on Auto mode might reflect on fanspeed.

though the cooling for the GPU may be passive.

The auto mode button isnot clickable ! nothing is clickable at fanspeed section

Hi,

Look at the back of your case and there should be two screws, un-screw these and then you will be able to pull the side of the case off. You should see your GPU instantly, tell me if the fan on the GPU is running.
