Hey I just updated my inter net to fios 1g download my mothers pc gets 950 mbps in i only get about 400 mbps in i use
a asus rog strix b450 f gaming mobo
Ryzen 5 2600x
I have change ports restarted install updates for the driver but still seem same performance my mom uses a a i7 intel What should I do?

Internet congestion can have a major impact, especially when testing at GigaBit speeds. Try several different test sites and different times of day.

It got fixed i had to use CC cleaner to fix regestery issues in web browser data so now im above 1g in download like 130 mbps a sec :)
Great to see you got it sorted...

In most applications I can't say GigaBit speed matters much at all for an individual user though: it's main goodness comes when there are multiple heavy users in the household on the same connection. I recently down-graded my GigaBit ethernet connection for a 400Mb connection since I'm really the only heavy user and haven't noticed it. Of course, the exception is downloading a game like MS FlightSim 2020: even though 400Mb isn't really all that horrible a 100 GB download is indeed way better at GigaBit .

But once games are installed and running things are fine and 400Mb doesn't intrude in the least even with two computers, three streaming TV's, three phones, two tablets and as well an assortment of other net-connected appliances on it.
