Question ASUS ROG Strix 43” 4K HDR DSC Gaming Monitor (XG43UQ) will not wake up

So I splurged and got the beautiful BIG XG43UQ from Asus. Really helps with my old eyes... Anyway, when my pc starts (and monitor is in standby) the monitor will not wake up. I have to start windows, turn monitor off and then back on to get it to recognize the signal from my graphics card. I am using a RTX 3080 with a displayport 1.4 cable (a very high quality cable at that). If I simply restart windows without turning PC off then usually the monitor will start back up (About 90%) of the time. I have tried different DP cables and that is not the issue. If I hook up a HDMI cable it always wakes up with that. Any suggestions that can fix this?

Fix Found if this helps anyone else. The "good" DP1.2 cable I was using obviously wasn't good enough. I upgraded to a DP 2.0 cable and now problem is resolved. Used this cable:
