Hi I have an offer to purchase the Asus 17.3" ROG Strix GL702 Gaming Laptop GL702VM-GC003T

this model comes with
i5 6300hq
gtx 1060
8gb ram
g sync panel
128gb ssd
1tb hdd

ive been offered it for £740 is this a good deal for a lightly used laptop? I don't know the seller personally but as far as I'm aware this is a good deal even if it is used. Also would I need a cooling pad to game on this?

Yes, if everything's in good order then it seems like a good deal.
I would recommend a cooling pad. it's not a big investment and will help safeguard your device a bit better
