[SOLVED] Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Yellow/Amber Dram light. No post

Specs:

MB: Asus ROG Strix Z390-E

CPU: Intel-I7 9700k

Ram: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200

Tried to post with no cooler: Dram
With cooler: Dram
Trying all ram slots with one ram swapping them and trying in every possible combo: Dram

Think the mb is deaded? Only one trident lights up @ a2. The other one doesn't.

The lights go on as follows, bottom most led red then almost immediately moving to the one above it solid yellow/amber

First of all, are you sure the BIOS is updated on the Z370-E? The 9700K isn't supported out of the box.

I wouldn't think DRAM LEDs would flag if the CPU wasn't recognized, but better to start with the obvious.

The board might need a BIOS update to support the CPU.

My bad. I am actually using the 390

Try removing the CPU and posting here a picture of the CPU socket. What exact RAMs using?

Invited a friend over to take a second look. He reseated the ram 3 times. It only had to be reseated, over 30 times. lmao
