Question asus rog swift pg278 dp/hdmi no signal

GPU: evga geforce RTX 2080 xc ultra
monitor: asus rog swift pg278

Just finished a build, everything inside the case looks operational, rgbs are on, fans (including gpu) are running correctly, but I'm getting no signal on my monitor from the hdmi or displayport, although I have gotten the monitor to pick up hdmi when connected to a ps4. Tried connecting each cable to my gpu and my mobo individually, nothing.
