Hi, I'm trying to decide on a new monitor as I've gotten more into FPS gaming. I've broken it down to these two:
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-asus-pg278qr-rog-swift-wqhd-165hz-g-sync-gaming-monitor-tn-2560x1440-1ms-10001-adjustable-vesa-dp?v=c
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-screen-Monitor/dp/B01EN5JN5K?th=1
Now, they both look the same.. 165hz, 1ms, 1440p, 100M:1 Contrast, TN Panel, everything I want and need. Yet the Asus is £150 more than the Acer, I was wondering is there anything that makes it worth £150 more? Which would people recommend?
Additionally, I'm going for 1440p because I intend to build a new machine when Volta hits, although would people still recommend I stick with 1080p? I'm not sure if even with a new Volta card I'll hit the 140+ fps in 1440p on games such as PUBG without lowering graphics settings (which would kind of counter having the 1440p screen anyway).
Any advice would be very much appretiated.
