Question ASUS router syslog error codes

Hi all.
For the past couple of months my ASUS RT-AC1200G+ has been losing wifi and locking up for a couple of minutes at a time.

The syslog contains many of the following error codes that I have tried to work out with no luck. Would appreciate any help on what they mean and, hopefully, how I might be able to get round them?

kernel: wl1: PHYTX error
kernel: net_ratelimit: 15 callbacks suppressed
kernel: dst cache overflow

Have you attempted to update the routers firmware?

Another alternative is to try the Merlin WRT custom firmware for Asus routers. Its one of the better ones.

Do you have guest networks defined? The "wl1" is associated with the 5Ghz guest, from what I can tell.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I have the 5ghz network running at the same time as my 2.4 but not as a guest network. The issue does, however, seem to hit 5ghz connected devices more, so there might be something in the wl1 error.

The firmware was the latest official FW from Asus. I have now downgraded it to see if anything improves. I don't seem to recall these issues last year on the old firmware. There is no option for merlin yet as it is still WIP.
