Is there something "better" than the wireless N solution ? I'm willing to spend a solid $300 just on this.. that way I don't have to worry about it later.
 
Those will be fine the only other option is to get 802.11ac support. This standard will be finalized in a couple of months so the price of equipment should drop a lot by first part of next year.

Will it buy you anythings ? First it only runs on 5g which does not cover as well as 2.4g. If you get coverage you should be able to get a higher data rate.

The big question is does it really buy you anything to go faster. If all you do is use the internet connection then the answer is no you likely will never be able to afford a 450m internet the devices you posted can in theory achieve. If you are running some storage network or something then maybe 802.11ac will help but you likely will hit a different bottleneck.

Next year this time if you were to ask the same question the answer would likely be to buy the 802.11ac based stuff even if you can't use it because it costs about the same as 802.11n stuff.
