I have this server and am I searching for setup and operational instructions. The ASUS manuals appear to make knowledge level assumptions that I don't meet. I would appreciate helpful suggestions and recommendations on getting this unit up and running. 73 KW4YW

What are the complete specs for your server (make/model of ALL installed components, i.e. CPU, memory, storage, etc.)?

What do you intend to the use the server for? What operating system do you intend to use?

As you can tell, we need a bit more info to be able to help.

You just bought a freaking rack-mount server despite having no idea how to set up or use one? (What appear to be ID codes at the end kind and clearly copy/pasted formatting of the text of make me think this is a bot anyway. And this certainly isn't a networking question.)

If you don't understand the manuals as shipped, then this is not something you have any business trying to run.

I did not but it, I was given it. You should not make assumptions ahead of the facts.

Device is intended to support two (2) Windows-based towers, at least three Windows-based laptops. Ideally device will automatically back up data on one of the tower units. Device will need to interact with hard wire/wifi network.

Again, it is dangerous to make assumptions ahead of data. The manuals are clear, as far as they go They are not clear on certain aspects of physical connection and interfacing.
