HI just installed the router. i only use wired connection 98 pourcent of time.
on my cell phone i can see the router showing. there is a wifi button behind the router so i push it and tried also to keep pressure on in 10 sec in hoping that it would close wifi emission but it does not.
what am i doing wrong?
I would like to just have to push the button to on off the wifi. tx

The button is likely for WPS. This is used to allow devices to connect via wifi with no passwords.

This is one of those things your only option is to go buy a router that has that feature. If it does not have a physical button to turn off the wifi radios there is no magic that will create one.

You can of course just turn off the wifi radio in the software menus.

hi
you are correct it is not written wifi but wps!

i searched for sur a option but didnt find it .
is it well by typing 192. etc?
in wich option?

Not sure what you are asking read the manual. That is a old router and the newer asus routers have different screens,

All you do is put the ip of the router in the web browser and go to the wifi setting page and turn off the radios.

This is very scary that you do not know this basic stuff, you would have had to be on these pages to change the wifi passwords which you should have done.
