Hi I have just trying end that and it hasn't made a difference

Thanks for your help

Hi thanks for the reply

You don't think it could be anything else ? I don't particularly want to return them

Oh and the boot led is lit

Can you grab a USB flash drive that is formatted as fat32 and get the latest BIOS from here. Recommended that it will be the only file on the drive.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FX_R20/HelpDesk_Download/

Get this one SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 BIOS 2501

Open the zip file and drag the file SABERTOOTH-990FX-R20-ASUS-2501.CAP to the USB flash drive.

Then plug the flash drive into the FLASH BACK USB port its circled in green and press the Flash Back button.

Wait 10 mins until the FLASHBACK light stops blinking. If the light stops blinking right away rename the file to 990FXR20.CAP

I believe your BIOS is out of date can cause a pc that will not POST.

Then remove Flash drive and power on system.

Make sure you also have the 8 Pin Power connector near the CPU plugged in or it will not boot.

If it refuses to POST or BOOT to bios. Power off the System. Try using the MemOK button near the memory slots. It will auto set the Memory timings that will allow the system to POST. The DRAM LED light will blink the system will power up and it will right into BIOS to allow you to save settings.

If that does not work its possible you got a defective board and need to RMA the board at this point.

Hi thanks for all of your help in the end it was my graphics card I returned then spent £70 more and got a Asus 980 strix 4GB GDDR5

Many thanks
