I am hoping someone can help me with this and see if if is a motherboard issue, (most likely is.)

I am trying to install Vista utlimate 64bit on an Asus Striker Extreme. I will set the BIOS to boot from Removable and the BIOS will see the USB drive. The boot will just hang and hang, it will not see the boot sector. I have tested the usb on a notebook and it does boot and begin to install the OS.

As an alternative method. I loaded the OS onto the hard drive on another computer and then installed it, but the OS failed to install, PC blue screened and just messed up the install. I have been working on this for two days, 4 hours in the morning. (in the morning, before the kids get up and the day starts)

I can not install from CD/DVD, I can not seem to locate the DVD. I have looked for it, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Well, I ended up burning the OS to disc and I was able to load the OS by CD, but I did continue to have some issues with the install, it kept BSOD. Looking at the error, I figured it was a RAM issue, so I changed out the RAM and everything worked out.
