Hi, i can't decide between these two GPUs, I'm building a nearly 2000USD video editing pc with 3900x, but I don't really want to play only with maxed out GTA V and GTA VI in the future, also I want futureproof card. The Strix is 430USD the Gigabyte is 460-480. Or any other suggestions? I'd also consider a RX 5700 XT but in Premiere Pro it isn't ass powerful as the nvidia ones. I'm already a little overbudget with these and don't have SSDs yet

Solution
Just to be 100% clear, you're considering a 2060 Strix (NON-Super, 6GB VRAM) vs a 2060 SUPER (8GB VRAM)?

If that's the case, yes, absolutely. The 2060 Super, even a budget-orientated model is more than ~7%/$30 "better" than a top-tier 2060 (Non-Super).
You're comparing a 2060 with a 2060 Super?
+7% (approx) for a 2060Super over a 2060 for it's improved performance & additional 2GB of VRAM is a no brainer, regardless of the specific models in question.

What kind of specs are you looking at so far? And where are you located? (suspect not the US?).

Solution
Yes because the Strix ones are the most powerful 2060s.
Huh... is that why Asus gpus are so popular?

But no, it's actually number 2 of the 2060s: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios...=RTX+2060&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since=
Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2060 6 GB is stronger than it.

Even among the 2060 Supers, Gigabyte beats it again: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/212853/gigabyte-rtx2060super-8192-190707
Asus 2060 Super Strix OC: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/218244/218244

But those higher power limits come with a tradeoff: higher power consumption, thus higher temps, meaning you will have to run more aggressive fan curves with the stronger card.
The gpus are temperature sensitive, so I hope a little noise doesn't bother you.
