i've looked around and people says its okay. but i'm literally just staring at the temp with hwmonitor right after booting pc and it goes from 35c all the way up to 65c with me just staring at it. is my gpu virus or dying?
when idling does it hold that 65C temp or does it merely show that for a few moments before returning to the 35C mark?
A lot of companies have setup fan profiles that only begin to spin the fan when it hits the 65C mark, this may be what you are experiencing.
During these temperature spikes dpes the fan become noticeable?
idk what temp the fans turn on at but it reaches 65c and then lowers and raises again. 65c seem to be the max tho. usually my idle was 30-40c but i've recently been using shadowplay recording at 1440p and now idle is 60-65c. i've turned off 1440p shadowplay and its at 1080p now.
edit. fans never turn on since it dont reach 67c(?)
It's a known issue with some of the ASUS STRIX Cards. 65c is nothing to worry about.
Just make sure you have proper air flow in your case and no other components are putting out extra heat...should be fine.
yeah. but it just makes me uncomfortable. and idk how to control fanns. i'll tinker it with tonight
edit today the saturday. its was idle-ing on 65c cause i had shadowplay recording the desktop as well. i turn it off to just games again and idles at 45c hopefully this help ppl. idk how to choose myself as the solver.
