Hello!

I was just wondering if my GPU which has a 6pin and 8 pin power connector needs to each have a dedicated cable from the PSU, or can I use a single cable from the GPU with an 8pin and 6+2 pin connector? Would a single cable be enough to power the GPU on both connectors or would it be better to have a dedicated cables for both the 6 pin and the 8 pin?

Thanks!

Well if your asking to use on the 8pin a 6+2pin connector from your psu that's perfectly fine. Also there's no need to have dedicated connectors. If your PSU has a 6 pin and a 6+2 pin on the same cable your fine. Honestly in terms its better to run the 6 pin and the 6+2 pin into the GPU because the voltage regulation and amps will be consistent on the single cable vs 2 dedicated cables which will most likely fluctuate the volts and amps.

I currently have the Corsair AX650i as my PSU. I meant that since the GPU requires both a 6 pin and an 8 pin connector, would it be better to use just a single cable with two 6+2 pin connectors or 2 cables with one 8 pin and one 6 pin?

Either will work just fine just plug it in and forget about it.

I do have the RM750X PSU. Can I connect the GPU from a single cab,e from the PSU? This cable has two 6+2 pin connectors. I do have the GTX1080 Asus Strix (6+8 pin needed)
