ASUS Strix R9 390X vs ASUS Strix 970?

I will be playing games on 1080p and I will play games on ultra settings at 60fps. Also I don't want driver errors.

And there are more benchmarks. The 970 has higher FPS (~5 more) sometimes, while other times the R9 has more (tho it's ~2 more). So you could say the're even on the FPS deal.

Conclusion: almost same FPS (depending on game, system, etc), but the R9 power consumption and heat is just INSANE.

I would go with a MSI GTX 970 G1 4Gb

the r9 390xdoes better on 1080+ resolutions tho, but seeing as you are using a 1080p monitor, I'd go for the 970 aswell

better go for r9 390x if you have plan to change your monitor in future. MSI lightning edition R9 390x would be great choice. lightning edition is not out yet but it will be soon.
