Question Asus strix vega 64 pc cable

In the box came 2x 6 pin connectors to an 8pin power connector. The card has 2 8pin power connectors to it. What's with supplying a 6pin 6pin to 8pin power connector? Am I missing something here?

The 6pin connectors also have male clips on either side but the gpu has no female for them to clip into either and both the 8pin power connectors on the cards are side by side.

Finally logged into this forum!! 3 password resets and finnnaaaallllyyyy got prompted for an email comfirmation that I'd already done anyway. Welldone slow clapping sarcastically to this log in process. Joke!

It just got worse. I looked the card again and indeed you can clip the 6pins in. Except the card has the clips the other way so :::: with clips on top. This cable is going ::: 6pin with the clips on the side.
