Alright so everythings been working fine before I booted up my pc tonight. I recently bought a asus strix 980 ti and downloaded the tweaker off the disk. When I switched from "Gaming" to "OC" or any other setting my screen immediately goes black and says "input not supported" I closed the app completely and am considering trying to delete it completely and redownload it maybe. (managed to get back on my pc through low res mode) I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that will work or not...or if I should just not use tweaker anymore.

Solution
Your PSU should be enough to hold it, however my guess is that in OC mode it just starts drawing too much power and the PC turns off to prevent any damage.
