Asus u46e hw14wx101 replacement laptop screen

I am having trouble finding a replacement screen for an Asus u46e (HW14WX101). Where can I find one?

Yes, it wasn't compatible so I am sending it back. I have reached out to another seller to make sure it works for this machine without a response yet. I can only find the two sellers on eBay or anywhere else for that matter that say they have it in stock.

How about asking at Asus tech support? Or other computer stores like Best Buy or MicroCenter? At the very least they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Best Buy wanted to send it back to Asus and was told the Asus rep quoted $400 to replace. They didn't have any other options for replacement. That's why I'm looking for other solutions.

Those guys can definitely suggest other options if they really want to help you.

Try MicroCenter. They are friendlier and more service oriented.

I just got my U46e screen replaced-it somehow was broken while in my bookbag (I guess its very fragile, only downside to this computer). Bestbuy told me it would take 6 weeks to fix, and I couldnt find the part anywhere, so I ended up sending it to ASUS. Whoever quoted that price was wrong, my screen cost just around 200 to replace with labor and everything. Send it in to ASUS, its your best bet.

I bought an HW14WX101 compatible LCD on ebay from the douchebags at "LaptopZ" and of course, it ended up being the wrong screen. They chinese reps at LaptopZ were like "our paper say it compatible with you computer" but the LCD didn't even fit in the machine!

My advise is to stay far away from LaptopZ (AKA ScreenAid, GainGame, YallStore) because they are strait up hustlers, but don't take my word for it, just Google them. The reviews are horrible.

Hi, I called ASUS and they're telling me that their service center is in California. They don't have a service center in the North East, which means that just shipping the laptop forth and back will cost at least 100 bucks. This on top of the labor/screen expense. Had I known that this company has absolutely no back up support for its product I would have never bought this laptop. I am frustrated and very upset. I am a student and my laptop is my classroom.

Is there any way one can find a screen without the hussle?

PM me and I will direct you to a very legit major website (not eBay) where you can buy a great refurbished laptop for $250 (maybe less).
