I recently bought this 144hz monitor from Asus
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313
Its a great monitor but the only issue I have with it is that i cannot access the aspect control settings in the monitor menu, I used to play Counter Strike Global Offensive on a 4:3 stretched resolution of 1280x960 on my old 60hz Asus monitor since switching to this monitor I can no longer play with a 4:3 stretched resolution, does anybody know the issue any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I have this same monitor, I also play on that aspect ratio and resolution. I went to Nvidia Control Panel then went to Adjust desktop size and position under the scaling tab select Fullscreen and make sure the resolution and refresh rate are 1920x1080 and 144Hz.

Hello, if the above does't work;

What you need to do is lower your Desktop resolution (800x600 is guaranteed to work). Then you want to go to the previously greyed out scaling option in your monitor's OSD, it will no longer be greyed out. Change it to what you want, then bring your resolution back up to 1920x1080. Your monitor will remember what you picked in the OSD.

All the best!

I have a amd card and tried the equivalent with amd's catalyst control center with no success, thank you though 🙁

Did not work 🙁 I changed it to 800x600 and my desktop was stretched but in game was not and the aspect control option continued to be greyed out in the monitors OSD 🙁
