I purchased two of these monitors when I first assembled my build a few years ago (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gZgmGf). They have been working relatively well throughout their life so far.

Recently, I began having an issue where one of my monitors won't turn on. When the monitor is on with no signal, the power button lights up orange-ish. When the monitor is on with signal, the power button lights up blue. No light is on signaling to me that it is not turning on.

I have tried swapping power cables, trying different ports on my GPU (Disp. Port), trying HDMI instead of Disp. Port, and leaving it unpowered for a period of time and none have resolved the issue. I have also tried swapping outlets to no avail. I have checked other forums and the only other solution I can come up with is a hardware problem. Any other ideas?

This problem occurred a few weeks ago and was resolved by me swapping the port on my GPU that the monitor was plugged into. Still Disp. port but a different port. This has not fixed the problem this time around.

EDIT: added PC build for reference as well as more info.

Solution
Try unplugging the power cord and monitor cable for a 5- 10 minutes. That will reset the monitor to the default settings. Then plug in the power cord. Check if the Asus screen comes up.

If it did then with the system on, plug in the monitor cable to the graphics card port. Windows should detect the new device. And then proceed from there.

If the Asus screen doesn't come up, you can try another power cable or outlet. Then consult the troubleshooting steps on the monitor website or Asus Customer support for warranty repair/replacement (if still in warranty) or repair .
