Question Asus VG278QR 1080p or Specter Pro XT27Q 1440p

Hi i was planning to get a new monitor these coming week. Should i get a branded asus monitor which cost around 300$ or Specter Pro XT which is around 250$ on my country. I have been checking the reviews of this monitors, but i cant really decide which should i go.

Specter Pro has 1440p w/ 144hz VA panel curved monitor. Freesync & Gsync ready.

Asus on the otherhand has 0.5ms with 1080p 165hz TN panel Gsync certified.

Whats your PC consist of? No point in getting a 1440 monitor if you have something like a GTX960 GPU.

i5 4690k
gtx 1070
16gb ram
250 gb SSD
2 TB hdd

I'm a bit worried of the brand specter because its something new to me, Should i get it? or stick with branded monitors like asus?
