Asus vs Sapphire? Which GPU brand is better?

Sapphire is a lot cheaper then Asus. So does that mean sapphire isnt as good in terms of reliability? Right now the Asus Radeon HD 7950 is about the same price as the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970. What would you do? Does Sapphire have a bad rep?

Sapphire actually has a good rep, believe it or not (not that Asus cards are particularly bad, it's just that there's simply more value with Sapphire).

So definitely go with Sapphire's 7970 if it's between that or Asus' 7950 for the same price.

I'd agree that Sapphire doesn't have a bad rep. It's just that Asus is the best(arguably) and so their product do cost more. Supposedly it does show... & yup, just looking up the high-end Radeon cards on Tom's (GPU noise) and sure enough the Asus 7950 wins, making only 36.90 db.

I'm going to order one of their high-end motherboards for a new build and see what all the fuss is about...
