Asus VS XFX

Hello everyone. I am building a new PC for a friend. I was wondering why is the XFX R9 290x 200 dollars cheaper than the Asus one? I never really understood what the brand means on cards. Don't they all perform the same? The local PC store only sells XFX or Asus AMD cards. They are both r9 290x's, but the prices are 200 dollars in difference. Why is this? Safe links to both cards.

1 r9 290x should be able to max any game out full settings right?

Yes,definitely.You can play Crysis 3 and BF4 on ultra at 60+ FPS .
