Hi
I have a 120gb Samsung 840 SSD that I am trying to make my main OS drive on my Asus Lamborghini VX7.
Everything I have read says that this is an easy swap over. If I remove all the current HDD's from the laptop, BIOS can see the HDD, and windows setup can also see the HDD. Windows setup fails when it tries to format the drive. If i try to do this outside of the windows setup it also fails. Strangly enough BIOS only sees the drive when it is in one bay and not the other - but it can see a normal HDD in both.
The SSD isnt broken. I put it into another computer and windows 7 installed fine right till the setting up computer stage. I took the drive out then and put it in the VX7 where it tried to boot, but kept blue screening and then giving me the boot disk error. Swapped the SSD back to my first HDD and it worked fine.
Long story - but does anyone have any hints or tips? Im installing from a genuine W7 CD - so its not the CD thats corrupt.
