I've got Asus X205TA which comes with 32 GB eMMC installed. It came with WIndows 8.1 and a 10 GB recovery partition. As I needed that extra 10 GB I thought to install windows again, I made a bootable 8.1 USB and plugged in but nothing was happening. So I pressed f9 for resetting factory setting, there was an option to boot in cmd there and I thought I'll format disk via diskpart and then install os.

I did it via "Clean" command, so the eMMC is cleaned now but now whatever os i choose 7 or 8 or 8.1 through usb the BIOS is not taking it up. I go to boot menu by escape key it doesn't show anything there. I even thought to boot minitool partition tool through USB but BIOS is not booting from it also.

Basically the BIOS is not booting at all!!!!!!

Also the windows boot manager is gone from boot priority because i think i've deleted the whole disk and its in unallocated state

how do i fix this [censored] problem?????

yes the usb does work in other systems

I'll explain again,

1) i've a perfectly working bootable USB drive having 8.1 OS
2) I plug in laptop press "Esc" key to bring boot menu but there is nothing like "UEFI:SANDISK" only thing is "Enter Setup" which is BIOS itself
3) In BIOS there is nothing listed in boot configuration no device at all, not even windows boot manager
4) Secure Boot is disabled
5) All keys are removed
6) Boot override not working , i.e. no option under it to choose from

I've tried two drives no luck, the drives working in both my other laptop and desktop.

I'm not a pro and certainly not a noob but my gut says when i cleaned the disk via diskpart something messed up

I need to know how to fix this.

Dude,I was experiencing the same issue and i found the solution..Its actually pretty simple..
Asus X205TA requires a UEFI-bootable disk to boot from. Based on your firmware version you can also boot from UEFI-CSM. For UEFI-CSM, go to BIOS (Hit Esc when the computer starts, choose the last option), and if you see the Enable Legacy CSM option then select it.

For UEFI, use the tool Rufus and select option MBR partitioning scheme for UEFI. You'll have to be careful that once you give the path to the ISO, it may change this option (cost me quite a bit of time). So before hitting start, check again.

Idk about it but the problem will be solved but I am currently having an issue with the keyboard and touchpad.. Happen to have any ideas..installed the drivers for it

Yeah except the bios files and inf update driver

heres my answers.Try to press F9 until windows logo appear...after thers an option select 1.TROUBLESHOOT after you select troubleshoot click "ADVANCED OPTION" and then Select UEFI Firmware Settings" that automatic restart then auto going bios option then you found the boot option but you already connecting ung your usb installer..thnks i hope that i helping you.. I have the same issue.
I have managed to create USB boot disk, and I am able to boot and start the windows installation.
But I do have another issue. I don't have any disks listed as available when I try to install.

Doing a regular boot I get Windows Boot Manager error 0xc000007b
So the disk is there, but during clean install, no disk !?!

Hi, I solved the problem with rufus usb. My situation was this: I had deleted all partitions from the hard disk (32 GB) and there was no way to boot the asus X205TA from an external dvd player or usb flash drive. With rufus usb, an 8GB key loaded with a windows 10 embedded 32 bit (creator update) and formatted for GPT. Upon restart, the installation is set to perfection! Obviously in the bios I disable the secure boot. Started alone, without switching from boot override. And yes, I used google translator, sorry :)
