So I built my new rig roughly 2 weeks ago, was working fine no issues at all, now all of a sudden right after i boot up and get to my home screen i lose all picture to my monitors. The pc itself is still running, the onboard leds are signaling the problem is the ram. Ive tried using one stick, using dual and single channel, udating bios and also tried reverting back to an older version of bios. Ive tried so many different things its starting to worry me, what i dont understand is that its been working fine for 2 weeks now out of the blue i cant do anything!

Solution
Ivé not tried it yet (1403) but you should be able to at least access Bios and boot.
How did you update the Bios.? Rear IO port I presume and did it take.? (version will be listed in Bios) If so you will have to OC again as Bios would be set to default. If still having issues then yes you will have to look at your Windows installation as that's where the issue occurs.
Try using your installation media to repair your system files or to trouble shoot the problem.
You may have to do a clean install so save your important files if you can.

Sometimes it's a Service or driver error which will have to be checked. You can use MSCONFIG at Services apart from MS or look in task manager for clues. I know this may not happen if the system crashes...
Hi Justin :) and assuming all cabling and SLI is setup correctly with no output to monitor, then it could be your RAM.

Many are experiencing issues with 3000MHz RAM on this platform and requires manual input. The latest official Bios update with AGESA (v1.0.0.6) revision should resolve your rated speed issue or OC.

I have same MB and RAM as you and am awaiting for the new Bios which has an additional 25 DRAM parameters to play with. I can get my SPD to 2933MHz and stability but not if clocked above this. Also the update will allow for better Command Rate timing.
There are Beta Bios available with varying degrees of success however I would wait. No more BETA for me, I'm waiting for an official release which is already a week overdue.

The x370 boards have already received AGESA (v1.0.0.6) revision.

The Crosshair VI Hero has just been released today. Go here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

If you are recording higher than normal temps with your CPU OC then I have found HWInfo Monitor to be true. Other Apps have not been correct and read the temps with +20C approx above what I measure with my digital probe.

so i updated to v1.0.0.6 and still nothing, the pc boots up, i put my password in, all my programs load up then 2min later the screens go dark and im wanting to curb stomp my pc... i called asus and they said to try and reinstall windows, the only problem is that i cant uninstall then reinstall if my damn screens only stay on for 2min lol... sending out an SOS

Solution

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND MINE SOLVED BY AN EASY SOLUTION.the problem is 1800x XFR boost up to 4.1 ghz on high voltage 1.55 v (very dengarus)

qcode 24 is fine but 08 mean you have a ram problem which isn't true in your case your ram sticks are fine put them on.

1-go to the windows and uninstall asus's AI suite3 compeletly

2-update your bios to latest official version for better stabilty

3-load default bios settings or clear cmos as instroctins

4-now the important part is to disable CPU CORE BOOST from bios i think it's on EXTREME TWEAKER category.

5-now your cpu core voltages and tepms gonna drop significently i'm 90% sure your problem gonna be solve by that.
