Hi all!
I would like to upgrade RAM of an ASUS x55vdr notebook. It has 4GB of on-board RAM already.
On ASUS website (https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/X55VD/specifications/) is says:
"DDR3 1333/1600 MHz SDRAM, 4 GB, OnBoard Memory, 1 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB SDRAM"
Does this mean that it is possible to put 4GB memory module to have a total of 8GB RAM or can I put a 8GB memory module to have a total of 12GB RAM?
Thank you in advance for the answers!

Putting in more ram in your notebook is possible however, the way that notebook is designed is that you have to remove the whole motherboard to access the RAM slots. To be honest, it's probably worth it to just stick with 4 GB as adding more RAM will be lengthy.
