Question Asus X870E Hero - - - Primary NVMe pushed down by Liquid Freezer III ?

I think I'm bending ny motherboard. I've got an Asus X870E Hero and the primary NVMe (closest to the CPU) has a very tall heatsink. The back of the pump of the Liquid Freezer III is pushing against the heatsink (pictures to follow tomorrow) . I'm building in my office at work so I've left it for today.

My question it twofold and would appreciate anyone's assistance because i won't be able to sleep tonight and think I've wasted my money. Can I buy an aftermarket heatsink and will it still fit in terms of slotting in the port? I'm thinking for the Sabrent heatsink v2.0 which is 2.4 centimetres tall. Or should i just leave it without a heatsink?

I'm also thinking of repasting since I will have to remove the pump to remove the existing heatsink as well. Can I get away without repasting? It's an Arctix MX-6 I've used
 
What case are you working with? can you pass on an image of the motherboard being bent? PCB's are flexible and if you look at motherboard's that had lower PCB layer count, you'd see the motherboard bowing without a processor or a cooler mounted to said motherboard.

No, you will need to reapply your thermal paste after removing it with isopropyl alcohol.

That heat sink is made so tall because of PCIe v5.0 NVMe SSD, if you have 4.0 it's not going to heat as much so lower cooler will do fine.
As for re-pasting , it's mandatory any time you remove cooler. Get some paste beforehand but cooler came with enough paste for at least 2 applications, if you used it all up in one application, you put too much.
